Leafpool walked along the rivers edge, sniffing around. She needed to refill her herb stocks. Right now Leafpool was low on water mint and juniper berries. They both grow near water, which is why Leafpool was at the river. Putting one paw in front of the other slowly, so as not to miss anything, Leafpool finally smelled and saw some water mint sticking out of the river. The leafy green plant gave off a sweet smell, like moist earth. Trotting up to the plant, Leafpool waded into the river so as to reach it. Turning her head sideways to get the stems, Leafpool bit off a good clump of the water mint so she would be sure it would last awhile. Leafpool jumped out of the river and shook her light brown pelt vigorously to rid it of the water. "Water mint...good for belly aches." Leafpool recited aloud, her voice muffled by the plants in her mouth.
"Now for juniper berries." Leafpool padded away from the river. She saw the sun starting to sink down the sky and quickened her pace. She wanted to be back at the camp before dark. Leafpool lifted her amber gaze and started to search along the tree-line for the spikey bush. Spotting one not far from where she was standing, Leafpool loped up to it. The dark green leaves and purple berries were hard to miss. Putting down the water mint, Leafpool began nipping off stems of the bush that had clumps of berries clinging to them. When she had an amount that satisfied her, Leafpool picked up both plants and trotted off in the direction of her pack's camp.
